My name is Helen Triantafillou and I live in Athens, Greece.
This is what Athens looks like right now.
Have been a Registered Nurse for almost 30 years, recently on an early retirement.
I have 4 children (three adults, one teenager) and a cat (photographed here).
Have been using computers both at home and at work since 1987, when the operating system was DOS version 3 and the huge :-) hard disk of 20 Mbytes had to be "parked" before shutting down.
Have been painting and sketching since childhood, having come to a lot of trouble for the "portraits" of my High School professors.
Only became attracted to computer graphics, after the EGA monitors became VGA and the default 16 colors were no longer 80 % grey, but once started, there was no going back.
After making a lot of graphics in the search of better wallpaper for my computer, I thought I might as well share them with the internet community (many of whom had helped me in the past), so I collected them in some web pages and that is how my first web site was born. This also forced me to learn HTML and web publishing techniques.
With time, people began to be interested and started asking me for something special for their web pages. Their pages, being mostly personal, were usually short lived, but the encouragement and the experience have helped me a lot too.

is recent, but I don't like it very much - and will be replaced, once I have a better one - or one that I like better :-).
