Terragen Gallery and Terragen files - Version 8 - Page 2

These images were made with version 8 of Terragen. You can also download the files used for these images (whatever survived my absentmindedness and a crash).
The page is likely to take some time to load; there are a lot of graphics.

This mountain scene was made from an actual DEM file; can't remember which part of the world it represents though. -------------------------- The terrain and world files are in the 001.zip (68 kb). --------------------------	A dead volcano. This terrain was made from an actual DEM file; I think it is that of mount St Helens, although it was exaggerated as to the height. The preview showed much more of the scene lit by sunlight; in the final rendering only the top is lit. -------------------------- The terrain and world files are in the 002.zip (108 kb). Note that the surface map is a general purpose surface map I once made to cover everything from seashores to tall mountains (well...). --------------------------

This was the first successful moonlight scene I made with version 8. -------------------------- The terrain (from a DEM file) was too large to post here, but the world file is in the moonlight.zip (1.14 kb). --------------------------	Antarctica. The tree was added with post processing. This terrain was made from an actual low detail DEM file of Antarctica. -------------------------- The terrain and world files are in the antarctica.zip (56.4 kb). --------------------------

Dawn. The terrain was made from a (big) DEM. The tree was added with post processing. I had a lot of trouble with this file, until I used it on my new computer with a memory buffer of 100 Mb. On the old one with a 20 Mb buffer, the terrain had holes and bands. -------------------------- The terrain was too large to post here, but the world file is in the dawn.zip (1.10 kb). --------------------------	Attica. An attempt to make a "bird's eye view" of Attica with real (and very poor) data. The island in front is Salamis and the big one on the back Evoia. These are the best data I could find (GLOBE BIN format).
